Geocache Description:

** The container is not at the published coordinates **

These are at the location of the former Marshall-Fowler Ltd Sprotbrough Works (AKA 'The Tank Factory'). The foundry was opened by the Ministry of Supply in 1943 to manufacture tank track links.

For post-war aerial photos, click ( HERE )

(In the first photo, the road at the bottom is Melton Rd/Sprotbrough Rd, the railway line arcing from centre bottom to centre right is now part of the Trans-Pennine Trail and Cusworth Hall can be seen top-left)

The final location can be found by completing a puzzle

This online Jigsaw-based puzzle, uses a slightly trickier image than our first, but has fewer pieces so shouldn't prove to be much of a 'Challenger'.

A handful of years ago, we enjoyed a fantastic holiday in a hot and sunny Dorset. One of the week's highlights (at least for Mr MW & son...), was a visit to the Tank Museum at Bovington, a few miles inland from Lulworth Cove on the Jurassic Coast.

The picture below and the background image
are two of many, taken of the exhibits during our visit.
