Caitlyn, a leprechaun, playfully jumped between the trees of the forest, wearing her pink medallion and carrying her scroll. "Tra-la-la," she sang. She was on her way to her friend Ashlyn's birthday party.
Somewhere along the way, her pink medallion bounced off her neck and disappeared into the forest below. "My medallion!" she cried out. She hopped to the ground, set down her scroll, and searched for a very long time. The more she searched, the more she cried. She realized she was late for Ashlyn's birthday party and quickly raced the rest of the way, forgetting her scroll as well.
When she got there, she saw all of her leprechaun friends — Ashlyn, Orla, Fiona, Ryleigh, Makenna, Eileen, and Siobhan. Caitlyn's cheeks were flushed and her hair was sticking to the tears on her face. "What's wrong, Caitlyn?" her concerned friends asked. They gathered around to hear her story.
After hearing her story, Ashlyn said, "You need a hug!" All of her friends gave Caitlyn lots of hugs. It was already getting too dark to go look for Caitlyn's medallion and scroll. Instead, they used magic to create gifts, music, and food to celebrate Ashlyn's birthday and to cheer up Caitlyn. It helped a little.
The next morning, after they awoke from their sleepover and had breakfast, Caitlyn's friends helped her search the forest, but they came up empty-handed. Caitlyn was heartbroken. "My poor medallion," Caitlyn pouted. She went everywhere with her pink medallion. Caitlyn and her friends made "Missing Medallion" posters and put them up all over the forest.
