The secret lies with Richard.
(But Richard is silent so look where the words
are written on steel rather than stone).
This is the first clue of this mystery cache series. It is inspired by the movie National treasure (2004) where the character played by Nicolas Cage, Benjamin Franklin Gates, is told the first clue on his way to find the mythical treasure that was hidden centuries ago. ”The secret lies with Charlotte” is the first clue in the movie. But in this case, there´s no Charlotte, you need to find Richard instead.
Good to know before you start:
Even though this cache series is written in English it is very hard to solve it without any knowledge of the Swedish language. (And even so you might need to google some answers if you’re not familiar with the area and/or its history).
You don’t find anything at the start coordinates. You need to solve the clue to get to the right spot.
You need the possibility to read QR-codes to successfully finish this cache series.
You need a car or a bike and also some time at your hands (if you want to do all 4 caches in the series). Because this cache series requires both that you are able to move a couple of kilometers between some of the waypoints and that you solve the clues as you go. (If you like to bike but live far from the start it might be good to know that the start of the first cache and the finish of the last is almost at the same spot so you might park your car there during the hunt).
I recommend that you do the four caches in the series in order for the full experience (1,2,3,final), but it´s possible to do them individually as well.
When you are required to type a code. Remember that you should NEVER use blank steps and if it requires letters it´s ALWAYS lower-case.
If you by any reason need to reach a specific page of the treasure hunt. You can find them all listed on this page:
