La fenice in vari miti era un favoloso uccello sacro, era simile ad un'aquila reale, e aveva il piumaggio dal colore splendido, il collo color d'oro, rosse le piume del corpo e azzurra la coda con penne rosee, le ali in parte d'oro e in parte di porpora, un lungo becco affusolato, lunghe zampe, due lunghe piume — una rosa ed una azzurra — che le scivolano morbidamente giù dal capo e tre lunghe piume che pendono dalla coda piumata — una rosea, una azzurra e una color rosso-fuoco.
L'animale era presente in numeroso mitologie fin dall'epoca egizia
Ovviamente non è questo il luogo in cui lo potrete vedere, ma è l'appellativo con cui i boomers del luogo chiamano la spiaggetta molto utilizzata d'estate. Il nome proveniva dal bar sito al suo fianco. Per i giovani il posto si chiama il cigno.
D'estate il luogo è molto fraquentato dai babbani, prestare molta attenzione nella scoperta e nel riposizionamento
