La chiesa di Santa Maria a Panzano è la chiesa principale del paese, situata nel centro storico di Panzano, tutt'oggi abitato.
Si pensa essere una delle più antiche chiese del paese,dato che in totale Panzano in Chianti possiede 5 chiese, tutt'oggi consacrate e aperte regolarmente ogni domenica per la messa.
La chiesa ha subito varie ristrutturazioni nei secoli, basti pensare che accanto alla chiesa, dove oggi risiede il giardino parrocchiale, che purtoppo è chiuso al pubblico, anticamente vi sorgeva il cimitero del paese.
Il campanile della chiesa è stato annesso al complesso durante l'ultima importante ristrutturazione avvenuta intorno al 1980.
La chiesa è aperta tutti i giorni e l'ingresso è gratuito.

The church of Santa Maria a Panzano is the main church of the village, located in the historic center of Panzano. It is thought to be one of the oldest churches in the country, since in total Panzano in Chianti has 5 churches, still consecrated and open regularly every Sunday. The church has undergone various renovations over the centuries, just think that next to the church, where today resides the garden, which unfortunately is closed to the public, in ancient times there was the cemetery of the village. The bell tower of the church was annexed to the complex during the last major renovation that took place around 1980. The church is open every day and admission is free.
