The Series
The Athens Awesome Athletic Multi Adventure series is a group of 12, 2-stage multicaches set up to highlight sports in Athens. Of course, when we talk about sports in Athens, we are talking about the University of Georgia (UGA)! The series is the work of poeanne, Pitty Pat, and GeoMonkeyTiger!.
Each multicache will feature a particular sport at UGA. The first stage of each multicache will take you someplace important to that sport. You will need to observe the area to answer the question posed on the cache page. Enter your answer into Certitude. Your reward for the correct answer will be the coordinates to the final as well as 1/12th of the code you will need to enter to unlock the coordinates for GC9PWQJ - 13- Athens Awesome Athletic Multi Adventure BONUS!
The finals for this series are a relatively short distance away and fairly close together. It may make sense to gather the stage 1 requirements for all the caches in the series before heading to the stage 2 locations.

The Sport - Basketball 🏀
The University of Georgia began playing basketball during the 1905-1906 season. Since that time, the Bulldogs have played 2,768 games and have compiled an overall record of 1439-1329 (as of 9/9/2020).
Georgia has yet to win a National Championship in basketball. The Bulldogs made it to the Final Four in 1983 but lost to eventual champion NC State. The Dawgs have won two Conference Championships, the last one in 1989-90.
Hugh Durham is Georgia’s winningest head basketball coach with a record of 298-216. Durham coached from 1979 to 1995 and led Georgia to the 1989-90 SEC Championship, 1983 SEC Tournament Championship and an appearance in the 1983 Final Four.
The Georgia Lady Bulldogs basketball team represents the University of Georgia in basketball. The Lady Bulldogs are a member of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The "Lady Dawgs," as they are sometimes called, play in Stegeman Coliseum in Athens, Georgia. They have historically been among collegiate Womens Basketball's best programs.
Georgia Lady Bulldogs have won seven Southeastern Conference regular-season championships, four conference tournament championships and appeared in the NCAA Women's Division I Basketball Tournament 33 times, tied for 2nd among all schools. The team is coached by Joni Taylor. The Lady Bulldogs have also appeared in 5 Final Fours and 11 Elite Eights, but have never won a National Championship.
