Orlando Wetlands Park is probably my favorite park here in central Florida. Many people who visit go no farther than the 2 mile "birding loop". But there is so much more to see as you explore out into the farther corners of the park.
The shortest path to the cache from the parking lot is roughly 3.2 miles round trip. Be sure to pick up a map at the visitor center, sign the visitor log and bring drinking water.
There are BIG alligators out here. (I took this photo of "Mr Smiles" the day I placed the cache) Keep your eyes open as you stroll along. Cycling is permitted but only on the main raised gravel roads. I suggest you cross at the foot bridge near the pump station and then you'll need to walk a short distance along the perimeter trail to arrive at the cache.
When I placed the geocache my GPS was indicating an accuracy of +/- 12 feet. You are looking for a camouflaged peanut butter jar. Please rehide as found.
Enjoy the hunt, enjoy the wildlife, enjoy beautiful peaceful Florida.
