Southeast for Southfields
A magnetic micro cache placed on the south eastern side of Tibbets corner. Please be very careful when retrieving this cache, and look out for cyclists. The cache is not on the road.
Tibbets corner has always reminded me of a compass. West for Kingston, south for Wimbledon, east for central London, and north for Craven Cottage (and some other bits). Go southeast, and you'll find Southfields, a pleasant commuter suburb wedged between two lovely parks, Wansworth and Wimbledon Village. Go into southfields from here and you'll find some lovely views over south London, in the directions of Canary Wharf, Croydon and Crystal Palace. On a clear day I can see the South Downs, admittedly in the very far distance. As for the roundabout, its yet another painful junction on the sometimes very painful A3. Its the point at which most peoples journey into central London gets a hell of a lot more miserable.
