Geocache Description:

McLeod Lake (AKA Meirs Lake) is a stocked lake managed by Alaska Fish and Game - one of 81 in the MatSu region. In the water you'll find arctic grayling and rainbow trout - you can bring a non-motorized boat on the water or fish from the shoreline. It's surrounded by private property, but this is an almost secret public access. You can access the lake going down a steep trail. If you decide to bring a kayak, good luck!

In the winter, it's fun to come down here and play on the frozen lake.

There's very little information about this lake, so if you know anything or have any memories here I'd love to hear them in your log!

Also, as of hiding this cache the area is in desperate need of a CITO. I filled a small trashbag when I was placing this cache, but the area needs more love than that. If you're coming out for this one, I ask you pick up some trash as you seek the cache to help make it a little better.
