Glenrock State Conservation Area boasts a diverse environment from deep gullies to endangered coastal rainforest, beaches and rocky cliffs. A major feature is the beachside Glenrock Lagoon, fed by Flaggy and Little Flaggy creeks to the west. The sandstones in these creeks have resisted erosion, resulting in attractive waterfalls and rockpools for which the area has long been renowned.
This series of caches will take you on a lap around some of the shared walking/riding paths in the reserve. To do in a single lap is approximately 8km. Minimal bush bashing is needed, perhaps a handful of metres here and there.
Parking/trailhead suggestions for the series are included in GC9Q2Q7 (Glenrock Lagoon).
Follow the suggested trailhead to avoid bushbashing, and you will walk along the top of the quarry, with sea and lagoon views. The cache is hidden in view of some ruins, just off the track in a rocky area. The area is steep in parts, and with loose surfaces and leaf litter, watch any younger kids.
This cache is located within a State Conservation Area, with permission by the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service. Please ensure that NSW NPWS regulations are followed during your visit. Cache swag and trackables are not supposed to be placed in these caches.
