❤️Dating Trees❤️
Take a walk down from Porth Penrhyn on the old slate railway trail, into the woodland of the Cegin Valley alongside Afon Cegin. From this path, you can see the remains of the old railway beds and bridges which were once used in the 18th and 19th centuries to transport slate to the port.

To find the cache: From the tunnel (trailhead waypoint), facing south, take a left onto the dirt path. Follow the dirt path up the hill until you are near the co-ordinates. There is no need to venture down the hill or into the railway cutting, you can reach the cache on level ground.
Ancient trees tower above in the woodland. So ancient, that the etching of decades into their bark tells a story of times gone by...
This is my first cache hide and I am very excited to hear about your experiences. I hope you all enjoy it!
