The Native Gardens in front of the Murphy Animal Shelter have been developed by volunteers over the years. This location has also been the site of at least six Eagle Scout projects, including five from Troop 295 based in Plano, Texas. These projects included drainage development; rock borders and pathways; an eye-catching arbor; and three bench seating areas. The cache is hidden a short walk from the parking area. Afterwards, feel free to window shop for cats and look at the shelter dogs through the fence. Hope you enjoy visiting this place, which is normally quite peaceful (aside from barking dogs)!
