Anabranch is a large water hole connected to the Burdekin River via Hann Creek in the wet season. Water levels can vary seasonally, but it is popular with locals wanting to cool off in the warmer months (which is most of the year).
The council allows free camping here, but there is not much else in the way of facilities. Link to Tourist information.
Note the turnoff waypoints, signage can be scant or missing.
The cache has been placed near the causeway, about 90m south from water/recreation area and out of direct view of the camping areas. It contains a log and pencil only.
