Join us near our family's little slice of heaven. The cache is named after the property's owner, Colonel Royal Taylor, the late patriarch of our family. He purchased this land when he and his wife of nearly 50 years settled on Lake Seneca in the early 1950s. Beyond being a loyal husband and father of 3 boys, Royal served over 40 years in the U.S. Army when he retired as a Colonel. Upon settling in Eustis, he became a Real Estate Broker at Tyre and Taylor Realty and a few years later, a citrus grower. Sleddog, Royal's 2nd son started orienteering back in the late 80s with his daughters (RNDawn and Sleddog Pup) which later turned into geocaching in the early 2000s. This is Sleddog's grandson's (Lil Toot) first hide.
Overlooking the property, you will see countless cattle, sandhill cranes, 2 donkeys, hawks, eagles, and some occasional fox squirrels. The cache is an easy park and grab. There is plenty of space for parking. Be mindful of muggles, don't forget your pen, and please close and replace the cache how you found it. Enjoy!
Congrats for FTF BobbyBear1966!
