Made a quick stop heading home, and THIS is where I pulled off. "Walking Trail" Well, that looks new, and lonely!
Planned to walk a bit of the trail, see what the options were and possibly come back and drop one or two. Well, I had 5 deer jump about 50 feet in front of me and stick around to scope me out, saw a beautiful work of art on a big tree by a local beaver at the same time, and a flock of geese land on the river very nearby, honking away "do it!" They say think about why you are bringing people here when you place a cache, and that's something I look for in every cache I grab. The flowing river, the wildlife, the peace and quiet; wasn't much else to think about... You can grab a guardrail just about anywhere you go; some places you need to go for more than just a smiley.
Luckily I had a new container and log in the truck. Also was a good thing I had heavier clothing on; those briars off the trail were hungry!!! Dropped in a coin I picked up that needed to get moving. Also left an unactivated travel tag for FTF and a little swag. The trail is no longer lonely and there's another smiley waiting to be had.
At the time of hiding, the trail seems relatively new and in great shape. It was the end of winter when hidden, and the briars demanded attention; I am sure they will be very demanding in warmer weather. Runs a little close to the river in spots, so you might want to watch those rugrats or ensure they are current on swim lessons.
