Geocache Description:


Meeting Point of 4 Hundred.  county of Victoria Proclaimed 1857. areas like these was under lease 108  "Crystal Brook run"  County Clare"  Edward John Eyre passed  through here ona expedition trip in 1839.Pastrol survey was done in 1840s the first leasee was Pastorlist William Younghusband in 1847.James ferguson was manager/Partner. Sheep and horses  cattle were ran in the area but in 1873 the Government gradually took back the lease on the ares so areas could be opened up to closer settlement areas and clear land for agriculture.  There are other areas around Hundred of  Crystal  Brook, Hundred of Wanderah, Hundred of napperby  and Hundred of Port Pire.  so over time land was sold off to Pastorlist  to form farming areas.
