I have wanted to place a cache here when the BEARS first appeared during covid, but didn't have a container suitable for placement until now.
What bears you ask? If you look at the cliff across the road you may spot a white bear. If you drive past the cliffs just west of here you might spot a brown bear in his cave (look on the south side of the road for him). There were other bears placed out here when covid first began, I do not know who placed them or their reason why. If you know why or have a funny story about these bears please share that in your log. Some of the bears have disappeared and at one time the brown bear had fallen out of his cave but someone placed him back in his home.
This is a busy highway! I would suggest using the pull off near the cache rather than parking on the shoulder of the road. Be careful backing out and pulling out into traffic. There is another spot about 250 feet away that you could possibly park at that might be easier to get on and off the highway. There is no need to go past the fence line. Be careful climbing around on the rocks.
