This is an OPTIONAL Bonus cache. This cache is NOT at the posted coordinates (in the lake). To find this Bonus cache, you must first complete Sandpoint's Public Art Adventure Lab #1 and solve for the puzzle solution. At the end of each location, you will see the coord for that spot. Retrieve the cache container and carefully sign the log and replace it so that it does not fall into Sand Creek. If it does fall in, please have the curtesy to let me know so that I can repalce it. If you attempt to find this cache under the snow, be all the more careful when pulling it.
Larry "Yogi" Vasquez and his Sandpoint High School Industrial Design Seniors worked on this art piece from 2009-2013. Additionally, this community collaboration included assistance from many groups including the Pend Oreille Arts Council (POAC) and Idaho Fish and Game. They assured that the type and look of the fish was accurate. This installation spanning Sand Creek, includes over 95 trout, sea grasses, an anchor and trash. Look carefully and note that four of the fish have glass embellishments created by glass artists, Zabrielle and Byron Dillon.
Once you have logged the cache, head to the east end of the bridge and note Mark Kubiak's Stone Bear. Continue on to Lake Pend Oreille for a swim. If it is too cold, then take the opportunity to photograph the lake and the Cabinet Mountains on the Montana side.
