Water Vat (Central Otago) Traditional Cache

I have driven past here many times and saw the old dilapidated water vat in the field. Wondering if it was part of the old rail line. One day I drove past to see it brightly painted and a sign put up so stopped for a look. I was waiting for a cache to pop up here but none materialed so as I had my cache kit with me I decided to leave one for you to find and admire this fine piece of rail history.
