Pine Grove Cemetery is "the" historic cemetery in Davison, Michigan, and one of the earliest known in Genesee County. Many of Davison's founding fathers are interred here.
When visiting the other day I noticed many U.S. flags laying on the ground, branches everywhere, and fake flowers blowing in the wind. Why am I telling you this? Because this is going to be a little different than most CITOs that you attend. This one may include some trash, but mostly we'll be picking up branches, sticks and bark that have fallen over the winter. Many of the trees in the cemetery are old, since the cemetery was established in 1835, and every winter brings more of a mess.
A good pair of gloves will really come in handy, so be sure to bring them with you. Pariticpating in this CITO will also get you the Season 1 CITO souvenir if you haven't already worked for it, so hope to see you soon!
(And for those of you participating in the MiGO monthly (bingo) challenge, you're welcome! LOL.)
