Deze cache is gemaakt in samenwerking met Bibliotheek Veldhoven.
Sommige mensen vinden een bibliotheek suf, saai, stoffig en oubollig. De mensen die daar komen zijn oud en er gebeurt helemaal niks. Met deze geocache willen we laten zien dat dat beeld niet klopt. De bieb is cool, handig, leerzaam, uitdagend en spannend. We hebben een verbinding gemaakt tussen de activiteiten in de bibliotheek en geocachen.
LET OP: Deze cache is niet 24/7 beschikbaar. Kijk op de website van de bibliotheek voor de openingstijden: www.bibliotheekveldhoven.nl
De bibliotheek is een openbare ruimte en voor iedereen toegankelijk. Maar er gelden wel een aantal regels. Er werken/studeren hier mensen. Vooral op de bovenverdieping. Beperk daarom geluidsoverlast door op normale of gedempte toon te praten. Laat kinderen niet gillen en/of door de bieb rennen. Zet je mobieltje op laag volume of doe oortjes in. Je hoeft de medewerkers van de bibliotheek niet lastig te vallen. Alle antwoorden zijn met goed zoeken en rondkijken heus wel te vinden. Gebruik de hints en de computer. Die zijn er niet voor niets. Een spiegeltje kan handig zijn bij het zoeken naar de cache. Leg/zet alles wat je tijdens je zoektocht vind, op precies de zelfde plaats weer terug!

This cache was created in collaboration with Veldhoven Library.
Some people think libraries are dull, boring, dusty, and old-fashioned. The people who go there are old, and nothing happens. With this geocache, we want to show that this image is inaccurate. The library is cool, useful, educational, challenging, and exciting. We've created a connection between library activities and geocaching.

The library is a public space and accessible to everyone. However, there are a few rules. People work/study here, especially on the upper floor. Therefore, please minimize noise by speaking in a normal or subdued voice. Don't let children scream or run around. Turn your phone volume down or wear earphones. There's no need to bother the library staff. You can certainly find all the answers with a good search and a look around. Use the hints and the computer. They're there for a reason. A mirror can be helpful when searching for the cache. Put everything you find during your search back in exactly the same place!

Op deze plek zijn de bibliotheek, het theater aan dit plein en het museum in Veldhoven bezig met het ontwikkelen van een culturele hotspot. De culturele hotspot wordt een fijne plek waar naast de al bestaande functies (meer) ruimte komt voor ontmoeting, ontspanning, werken en studeren. De culturele programmering (bestaande uit o.a. voorstellingen, lezingen, exposities en workshops) en cultuureducatie (in huis en op locatie) wordt aantrekkelijk en inspirerend.
