Locomotive #779 is a retired steam locomotive, the last one to be manufactured at Lima Locomotive Works in 1949. Tender water capacity is 22,000 gallons and coal capacity is 22 tons. It cost $187,000 to build and was retired in 1958 after logging 667,095 miles. Lima has played a major role in the railroad industry and deserves it’s nickname “Train Town”!
