Arriving at the coordinates find the yellow-green drum-like lights on the sidewalk (a few meters away).
Due to its position right in one of the highest muggle areas in town, this cache keeps being stolen no matter how uninteresting a container I chose. Because it is such an interesting site though, I want to keep this cache alive.

These searchlights were used in the Battle of Britain in 1940 to light up the sky over London for anti-aircraft guns to bring down enemy bombers in one of the most famous episodes of World War II.
Today these lights are fired up by solar energy alone and the original 10.000 watt lamps were replaced by bulbs using a mere 125 watts produced by the beautiful African sun! What a happy ending!
