Der Brunnen der Völkerfreundschaft steht schon seit mehr als 50 Jahren auf dem Alexanderplatz. Insbesondere an sonnigen Tagen lassen sich hier viele Menschen für eine kurze Pause nieder, auch wenn es sicherlich schönere Plätze in Berlin gibt als den "Alex". In jedem Fall kann man hier prima das bunte Kommen und Gehen beobachten und momentan ist das ganze Gebiet stark im Wandel.
Für einen kurzen Plausch auf dem Weg zur Arbeit, oder für Urlauber, die gerne früh aufstehen, treffen wir uns hier für ein halbes Stündchen. Ob der Brunnen an diesem Tag bereits mit Wasser gefüllt ist, um sich zu erfrischen, werden wir sehen - die Brunnensaison in Berlin beginnt im April, es werden jedoch nicht alle gleichzeitig angeschaltet. Vielleicht gibt es auch Wasser "von oben", das weiß man in dieser Jahreszeit nie.
The Brunnen der Völerfreundschaft (Fountain of the Friendship of Nations) has been located on Alexanderplatz for more than 50 years. Especially on sunny days, many people sit down for a short break, even though there are certainly more beautiful places in Berlin than the "Alex". For a short chat on the way to work, or for tourists who like to get up early, we meet at the fountain for half an hour.
