Geocache Description:


The white-winged Cotinga (Xipholena atropurpurea) is classified as vulnerable on the endangered animal list.



The cotinga is a species of bird in the family Cotingidae. It is endemic to Brazil. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest. It is threatened by habitat loss.


Placement of this geocache has been approved by Rob Rossmanith, Park Biologist. Please remember, all wheels off the paved road when parking. Do not block any gates or trailheads, and follow the posted speed limits.
