ELVIS AND HIS CIRCLE G RANCH

The Circle G Ranch a peaceful place of solace for Elvis in the late 1960’s. Elvis Presley had many great qualities, three of them being: a love for friends & family, a love for animals, and a love for God. The life he was eventually trapped in Hollywood destroyed him, as it was the opposite of his lovely and wonderful core spirit.

In February, 1967, when traveling north on HWY 51, at dawn, Elvis saw a great vision to his right. A massive cross erected on a beautiful ranch. He determined that this vision was given to him to obtain the ranch for himself and his soon to be bride, as a sanctuary from Graceland.

Elvis immediately purchased the 160 acre ranch for $437,000 (even though it was not up for sale). The origin of the name, The

Flying Circle G Ranch, has said to have been Graceland, or Elvis’ mother’s name, Gladys.

Elvis loved to ride horses and his favorite horse was named Rising Sun, which he would ride at Graceland and Circle G.

Elvis and Priscilla spent many happy days at the ranch, including their honeymoon.

It was always remembered by the two of them as some of the happiest days they ever had.
