At ground zero will you see a beautiful example of a scarred tree on the edge of the Broken Creek.
Scarred trees have been made by Aboriginal people over the years. The bark is cut out of the tree to make items such as canoes, shields, bowls etc.
The local Broken Creek and Nine Mile Creek Reserves have these trees dotted along the banks here and there.. It is just a matter of spotting them.
