A variety series along Te Ara Tahatika o Manawatū - the Manawatu riverbank.
The great storm of 2020 caused the river to flood, taking out a number of trees and also Yellow's home. Yellow, wearing his favourite blue jumper, was left standing outside, shivering in the downpour as he watching his beloved house go sailing downstream. By 2022 the rain had eased, but the damage was done. The rain had reacted with the wool and his jumper shrank. Yellow, now a more diminutive version of himself, had trouble getting his jumper off and simply decided changing his name to match his new look would be a simpler, more effective solution.
One of a series of caches along the cycleway between Ashhurst and Palmerston North. The total length of the cycleway is 11 km, but so far only a 3 km stretch has been completed. The rest will happen as funding and access issues are sorted out, within the next year or ten. Difficulty and Terrain are specified for each individual cache, distance to its nearest roadend. The cycle track as a whole is Terrain 3. Enjoy!
