Geocache Description:

****As much as I hate these types of containers, after two mugglings I'm not investing as much into cool containers in this area where two higher quality ones went missing. Please be stealthy and take a moment to replace carefully as found and least visible as possible, this is a high muggle area!****

Before I worked in the building next to this park, I had no idea of its existence in Minneapolis. That's the thing I love about caching, finding cool locations you've never been to before. This cache is hidden in Richard and Annette Bloch Cancer Survivors Park. It's a hidden gem of this city, and a place I like to sit on breaks, or have a picnic with the wife and the geopups, and just enjoy the sunshine. Richard Block was the “R” of H&R Block, the tax preparation service, and a survivor of both lung and colon cancer. This park is one of many across the nation, and though they are all different, each park has similarities. There are three factors present in each Park. First is a positive mental attitude walk with 14 bronze plaques, four inspirational and 10 instructional. Second is a sculpture of eight life-size bronze figures passing through a maze representing cancer treatment. The five before the maze show fear, hope and determination in their faces while the three after are laughing and happy, representing successful treatment. Third is a “Road to Recovery” consisting of seven plaques explaining what cancer is and basic actions to successfully overcome the disease. This is one of the only green space parks in Downtown Minneapolis. It is a 1.5 acre public park and features a 104 foot horizontal granite water fountain, the bronze sculptures mentioned above, and numerous seating areas amidst the lush greenery. Fall is my absolute favorite season to sit here among the birch trees amidst the hustle and bustle of busy downtown. More people need to know this space exists and to enjoy it as much as I do on my work days. You're seeking a small container-so BYOP. There is enough room for very small swag or a small trackable or two. Unactivated geocoin for the FTF. Please only seek out this cache during daylight hours-do not search after dark. Coordinates around all these tall buildings are tricky-so multiple readings were taken and then averaged. You should get pretty close if your GPS cooperates.

Please stay on the sidewalk to reach this cache-there is no need to leave it.
