This cache is a placed in memory of Scott Wilson and Anthony Murdick. Who responded to this location April 8, 2001 with the Unionville Volunteer Fire Department and lost their lives in the line of duty. Both men were trying to save a kayaker who was lost in the swift waters.
There is a plaque at this location in their honor.
