This park is located in the middle of the small formely mining town of Extension on the entry way to the first, second and third mines. These mines were operated from 1896 until 1931 and produced 800 000 000 tons of coal. They employed around 900 men and, sadly were the cause of death for 100 men as well. This park is very pretty and is undergoing construction east and down the hill from GZ. Please take a moment to enjoy the scenery and the history of this location.
