Stanton Township honors our veterans with the Roll of Honor Monument. This monument is dedicated to those that gave their lives in World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Our people have served valiantly and honorably.
The Champion Mine’s Frieda Stamp Mill was built in 1902. It started operation in 1903 and in 1945, it was the most up to date stamp mill in the world. In 1910, Freda had over 500 residents. The mill closed in 1967, along with loosing its post office.
