This is Bangly Brae Quarry. Work stopped here in 2005. I tried to find out more about the quarry, in the early 90s about 25 people worked there. According to the good folks on facebook and the locals Jimmy worked there? someone had a Honda 90. The haulage contractor was Baxters of Tranent. That is all I could find out.
The quarry has now re opened and is in use again but not for quarrying. The 15 notices have gone, I have moved this cache to a disused entrance just further along the road with room for parking. Still a few notices especially warnings of deep water, beware.
Bangley has two spellings. Bangly and Bangley.
