This road is called Birk Hedges. BIRK is a scottish word for Beech. Along this road are some magnificent Beech trees ideal for a hide. The Birks can be a little prickly, but in the autumn they make great piles of leaves that are crunchy to walk on. They are my favourite colour of tree.
