International Geocaching Day, August 20, 2022

Come set a record for the amount of geocachers caching today!

The record to beat:
Aug, 11, 2013, with 126,833 geocachers logging at least on cache found or one event attended.

We did not beat the world record on August 20, 2022. On August 22, Geocaching HQ reported they had 112,477  events/finds logged that day. I think we may have beaten the record had they waited for more logs as many travellers waited weeks and months to log their caches. I received logs for that day fully two years later. Ah well, here's a cache to find anyway.

Take a little stroll through the lovely woods of Jubilee Park, any season, though spring may be a tad wet, hence the boardwalks in the area.
This cache is not on the boardwalk, it's on the path taking you to or from the boardwalk.

This cache requires only four wee little steps off trail, northeast side. If you find yourself bushwhacking, you're trying too hard.

Touch only the cache.
Do not move nature. This cache is a fully winter-friendly find. You won't even need to move snow.

Cache has been moved a few centimetres from original location. There is no longer a tether on it; it can be fully removed.

Once the cache is in your hand, you can step back onto the path and pretend you caught a fascinating bug while you are signing the logbook. Logbook must be signed to claim the find.
Tuck the cache safely back in after so it is out of muggles' sight, ensuring it is fully secured back to its resting place

Happy caching!

The park gates are closed at night. People still stroll through the park, but cannot park in the park.
