Tranent civic square is a busy place. Home to a statue of local hero Jackie Crookston. She was killed during the Massacre of Tranent 1797. She led a riot because she was tired of the local men being conscripted in to military service. There is a clock in the square which is quite prominent. An information board and the pretend old finger post. Look at the finger post and work out what you need. As usual the letters correspond to numbers.
