Geocache Description:

11 June 2022, 11:00 - 15:00

Save the Date for this year's Spring Fling. Keep checking this page for updates to the planned activities. Currently there are no regulations regarding COVID19 for gathering in a group. But please use your best judgment, and if you feel sick, stay home. We'll miss you, but come to another monthly meeting when you feel better. Also there is no charge for attending and all are welcome.

As you know COG currently holds the longevity record for the 2nd longest continuously active annual event. Originally Spring Fling was a one-day event held in June. This years event will be like last year's event, similar to the original Spring Flings, it will be a one-day non-camping event. The date will be June 11 from 11am - 3pm at Draper Lake Rec. Point 10 Pavilion #2. This is the same pavilion where Snowdog held his meeting last summer so those who attended know what a nice area that is, with playground equipment, bathrooms and covered picnic pavilion. The Meal is planned to be a pot luck (with prizes), we plan to bring Fried Chicken for everyone. We will also be providing drinks in the form of bottled water, soda & tea. So plan your pot luck items as veggies or desserts to go with fried chicken. We will also provide plates, cups, napkins and silverware for the meal. BUT PLEASE REMEMBER to bring your lawn chairs and serving utensils for your potluck items. Do you have suggestions for activities or games? Please contact us directly with suggestions or to volunteer your help.

So far we have planned William's Stake-Out Challenge - stake outs will be available at early at 9am so you can start before the event if you think you need more time to calculate the challenges. This event will officially end at 1:30pm to allow William time to calculate winners. Do you have yard games you'd like to play? Cornhole, Badminton or Lawn Darts? We will not be having a water game like we did last year, but we have access to water so if you want to bring a Kayak please do. We plan a modified Chomp Fest Pot Luck Challenge. We will mostly need any kind of item you want to make & share. We'll have a Cache container contest. This would be similar to container contests we've had at our past Spring Fling Camp-Outs, but due to this being a one-day event we won't be hiding any temp caches. Just bring cache containers to display and we'll award prizes. We also will have prizes just for showing up and attending! We hope to see you at Spring Fling! Keeping the Streak Alive for Another Year! COG ROCKS !!!
