The geocache is not at the posted coordinates. They are your starting point for this Letterbox Hybrid geocache.
The trail is open Dawn to Dusk. Please respect that. This trail can be busy at times, please keep an eye out for muggles in both directions. There is a ditch to cross when entering the wood line. It can sometimes has water in it. Dress appropriately.
This is a Letterbox Hybrid geocache. You must follow the directions below to be able to locate the geocache.
Inside the geocache is a rubber stamp and an ink pad. These items are not for trade. Please leave them in the cache.
Many geocachers make an impression of the geocache's stamp in their note books. There is a piece of felt in the cache. Please wrap the rubber stamp in the felt after use. There is a log book for you to sign and/or leave your stamp impression (not from the one in the cache).
Take note of the "complete" color listed of the ink pad and the rubber stamp's image. I may use this information in the future.
Directions to the geocache:
- From the posted coordinates, walk under the Trailhead Marker and continue down the trail for about one quarter of a mile.
- Once passing by some black hand rails on both sides of the trail, you'll come upon rock dams in the ditches on both sides of the trail. You'll be about one tenth of a mile from your next turn. Continue down the trail.
- You should see a trail marker with a bird on it on your left. Just after it on the right is a cement sidewalk.
- At about halfway between the two, walk into the wood line on the bird sign side of the trail between a very large pine tree and a broken tree. There can sometimes be water in the ditch between the trail and the wood line. Dress appropriately.
- You will encounter a chain link fence. At the fence is an ammo can covered with some large pieces of bark. Take care in trying to keep these pieces whole. They cover the container well that way.
