The Spruce Swamp Conservation Area, adminstered by SELT was conserved recently by conservation easements. There are seasonal porta-johns here and a decent amount of parking for 10-12 vehicles. Conveniently located off Route 125, this nice dual trail system has upland trees, ancient red and white pines, and hardwoods. The trails are well maintained and have varied habitat where you can see many birds, deer and critters. The adjacent property was an open pasture where cattle grazed. Enjoy this new gem in the SELT system and be on the look-out for birds as you step into a wilder environment.
