This is the site of a station on the Noto Line of the Noto Railway, which once connected Anamizu Station in Anamizu Town, Hozu County, Ishikawa Prefecture, and Takoshima Station in Suzu City, Ishikawa Prefecture.
In addition to the Noto Line between Takojima and Anamizu, the Noto Railway had three lines: the Nanao-Line between Nanao-Anamizu and the Wajima Line between Anamizu and Wajima.
The cache was hidden somewhere in these abandoned stations.
かつて石川県鳳珠郡穴水町の穴水駅と同県珠洲市の蛸島駅を結んでいた「のと鉄道」の駅の跡です。
「のと鉄道」はここの蛸島－穴水間の能登線のほかに、七尾－穴水の七尾線、穴水－輪島の輪島線の三つの区間がありましたが、現在運航されているのは七尾線のみです。
