The cache is hidden in one of the residential roads leading to the central road of the Cologne Turkish district - Keupstrasse. It is a commercial street in Cologne's Mülheim district on the right bank of the Rhine. It is nationally known as a center of business life for people of Turkish origin and is considered a typical example of a commercial street in an immigrant district; some observers also criticize it as a symbol of inner-city social segregation. Today, Keupstrasse is also a magnet for employees and visitors to the neighboring Schanzenviertel, a 19th-century industrial district that now houses several cultural institutions (Cologne Theater, E-Werk, etc.) and young companies, e.g. of the media industry.
