This is the continuation of a myth. Well, really, this is a continuation of the realization that there is SOMEthing out there that needs to be defined.
There are those who have met one of these mythical creatures. Many have been completely oblivious to what they have come into contact with. But others . . . well, they have had an inkling; a deep internal nudge; something- unearthly. After one such encounter and one such inking, one such person was led into a deeper discovery- one of a long hidden truth. Many will call this a myth. But some, will see into the murky depths and acknowledge there is more to what meets the eye. Or, as in many cases, what doesn’t meet the eye.
For instance: have you ever been looking for a cache and a seemingly normal animal appears nearby? Perhaps that animal draws your attention away from your momentary quest (SEE?!)? Or in RARE cases, actually helps you find the cache you are looking for?
“Come on,” you say, “it was just a normal cat (dog, bird, squirrel, etc.) that just happened to be where I was searching. There was no ‘mythical creatures’ either deterring or assisting my quests!”
But are you truly sure? What if you are wrong? After all, they don’t want to be discovered, so if they show themselves at all, they will always appear “normal.”
Aha! Are you slowly coming around? Are you beginning to believe?
This is the second of a series of caches; the first located in Sunbury-on-Thames, UK. (its continuance depends on how well the myth spreads throughout cachedom). I wish to bring you into the fold; to make you a true believer of the Cache Guardian.
At this location lives one of these creatures. I have seen it! While placing this particular hide, it appeared to me as if to say “I will watch over your cache.” And I was left with a supernatural feeling of overwhelming assurance that it would indeed fulfill its promise. All the same, I left rather quickly!
Finding the cache may be a relatively easy task, but finding evidence of the cache guardian? Well, THAT could be MUCH harder (Cache Guardian Difficulty: 4)! Will you succeed in THAT task or “just” find and log a simple container?
Please be careful on this quest. SOME of these creatures can be more dangerous than others! PLEASE don’t look for this one in the DARK! I would fear for your well being . . .
Beware! your log entry must be more than a simple “more to follow,” or “TFTC.” You would put yourself in direct conflict with the cache guardian’s sense of dignity and possibly bring pronounced woe down upon yourself! What if this one followed you and hindered your future hunts? Tell us of your exploits with this or possibly another cache guardian. Can you get its picture? Do they even photograph? They are out there . . .
The container is big enough for a few trinkets and such. I left a couple items from around the world. Please feel free to trade as you like. Please place the cache exactly as you found it.
