Geocache Description:

This cache is not at the listed coordinates, do not go there!

The Barossa Valley is a world-renowned wine-producing region northeast of Adelaide, in South Australia. The area encompasses towns such as Tanunda, Angaston and Nuriootpa, and an array of high-profile wineries offering tours and cellar-door tastings. Shiraz grapes are the local speciality. Wine production dates back to 1843, and now there are currently more than 150 active wineries in the area. Vineyards take up 10,350 of the Barossa’s 91,200 hectares of land. The stone cottages and Lutheran churches throughout the region are testament to a 19th-century wave of German settlers who established the area, back in the 1840’s.

As well as the Barossa being rich in history, it is also home to an array of geocaches, scattered all over. This geoart is located around Gomersal, approximately 5 minutes out of Tanunda. Caches are hidden along the backroads bordering local vineyards and farmland. You will not need to enter private property nor cross fences to access any caches in this series.

All caches are one of a couple of types of small containers, please leave them at GZ. There is a mixture of terrain to add some challenge, TOTTs may be required for these. Please be aware of dry weather roads during wetter conditions as they can turn nasty without an appropriate vehicle. Please do not proceed down any wet dry-weather roads to avoid damaging those roads for the locals. To locate this cache, you will need to solve the puzzle below.
