The goal of Mega-Events is to strengthen the geocaching community through amazing social experiences. These events often also result in inspired ways to play the game, friendships that last a lifetime, and incredible amounts of fun. Mega-Event organizers have great relationships within the geocaching community, serve as model event hosts, and strive to create amazing experiences for their geocaching community.
The cache IS at the published coordinates. This is a challenge cache, and as such, apart from signing the logbook there is an additional task to perform before logging the find online.
Your task is to have attended ONE MEGA Event.
The checker at the bottom of the page can be used to check if you qualify.
You are welcome to physically 'find' the cache and sign the log if you do not yet qualify. Please log this fact as a 'Write Note' on this listing. Once you have then met all the requirements, a 'Found It' log can be submitted.
Parking, route to GZ & container
The best place to park your car is at N 54 37.641 W 005 42.904 (waypoint added) and from there, it’s just over a mile to GZ along The Ulster Way. There is a clear path to follow but this can get somewhat damp and muddy in sections so sturdy footwear is recommended.
The container is a pre-form bottle with a RITR logbook and is placed high in a tree. An amount of tree climbing along with a special long tool is required to reach it. Please note the location of the container before retrieval and be sure to place it back exactly where found.
Good luck and enjoy.

2022 is the Year of the Hide. Earn one souvenir for placing a new geocache that is published March 1, through December 31, 2022 (geocache or event). What will you hide?
