Off to Aylard Farm we go!

This fantastic corner of East Sooke Regional Park is well worth a visit. It has a wonderful sandy beach perfect for kids to play on during the summer. Nearby you can hike into Creyke Point, see views into Beecher Bay and East towards Metchosin, or even see Petroglyphs. So much to see!

The East Sooke area has it's roots back to the late 1800's, with many stories of hardy settlers. Some of the most impressive seem to involve women encountering all sorts of wildlife from Cougars to bears to wolves.
