Geocache Description:

It was at a recent CITO (GC9QCJ6) near here that the bullertrouts mentioned they had received another Adventure Lab cache (their fourth), and as their home town of Nelson was saturated with AdLabs, they decided to bestow their fortune on us Marlborough geocachers. As this was our territory, they politely asked us for permission to place their AdLab here at the Grovetown Lagoon. I had already thought it would be an ideal place for an Ad Lab and considered placing one here myself when I was awarded one. However, there were two or three other local geocachers who had a far better connection to the area than I so I suggested it to them. That was some time ago, and they haven't taken the hint, so I gave my blessing. One of the other local attendees at the CITO who was one of those I though may be interested in placing an Ad Lab here also gave his permission.

As the CO of that Ad Lab is known for not always including a bonus cache with their Ad Labs, we encouraged them to do so. I even went as far as to donate a pre-prepared cache to assist them, and although they have said their maybe a bonus to come, I feel that is very unlikely, so I asked their permission to place an bonus here on their behalf. I'll admit, they did place a bonus cache, but when the tried to list it, it fell foul of the GC proximity rules. Having a look at the geocaching map, I spotted a couple of suitable areas for the bonus, but only one stood out as being suitable should you do the AdLab in the anti-clockwise direction. This was the other location

So take a pleasant stroll around the Lagoon, it should take about an hour to complete, a bit more if you are doing the 13 other caches in the area, although one is across the other side of the Wairau River. Of course there is also a regularly scheduled CITO here to help the Lagoon Trust with planting and weeding projects as well as the five locations of the Ad Lab cache.

The cache is an Eclipse mint tin held in place by an invisible force.
