Legend has it mermaids call the Welland canal home. Just like Arial from the little mermaid, these mermaids also like to collect do-dads, trinkets, and mysterious gadgets from the mysterious mainlanders. Unfortunately, The mermaids of the canal have a bad habit of only collecting garbage and discarded beverage containers, over time their collection has gotten so large that it has spilled over onto dry land. The evidence is everywhere you look, and no one has had the opportunity to tell the mermaids what a mess they are making.
I must be a part mermaid as I find myself also collecting bags of this mermaid's refuse, but my wife makes me throw it in the trash.. shes says that's where it belongs... and she's always right.
