This collection of caches has nothing to do with the Church Micro series in the UK. Given that the Australian 2016 census indicates that No Religion and Jedi Knight are the fastest increasing classifications of the optional religion question "What is the person's religion?" it is not surprising that there is surfeit of empty churches that have been repurposed.
Some History
Former Methodist church and former Uniting Church Farrell Flat
The Wesleyan Methodist Church opened in 1878. In 1895 the trustees decided to lower the roof and gables by 3 or 4 feet, so a new roof line was constructed. Then in 1909 the congregation decided to lower the church bell tower. These changes were merely the result of the church walls cracking. In 1921 repairs were made to the cracking walls. In 1934 the congregation decided to demolish the church and build a new one just as the Catholics had been forced to do earlier. The 1934 church became the Uniting Church which closed in 2004 and was sold as a residence.
