Landscaped and maintained by the Burlington Parks Department, this alley is considered one of Burlington's most famous landmarks.Originally constructed with changing curves so that horses could more easily walk up the steep incline between Washington and Columbia streets, this alley is composed of limestone and blue clay bricks and sees 5-1/2 curves over the 275 foot distance.
