Stops along the Shannon Erne Waterway

Ballyconnel

First time we have been in Ireland was in 2004, we made a cruiser-holiday along the shannon. We drove from Carrick on Shannon to Portumna in 7 days and enjoyed it.

In the following year we took a boat in Northern Ireland and we drove from the Lower lough Erne to Ballyconnell, because we heard from friends that there are very very great Steaks in a Restaurant :-). This was the first time we drove along the SEW , but we loved it and so we are here every year.

Sometimes we take a rental car enjoying some days in Bed and Breakfast and the country, but most times we just enjoy  the silence and the nature on the cruiser

Now we placed a small Cache, here in Ballyconnell to raise the number of caches along the SEW. It is our third cache in this region, because we love to come back :-)
